BOULDER, Colo. (AP) — The turnaround for a Colorado team that went 1-11 last season is happening at lightning speed. Just don’t ask coach Deion Sanders about stopping to soak any of it in. He’s much too busy to fully wrap his mind around Boulder being the center of the college football universe. “Santa don’t have time. He’s got to deliver the gifts. He ain’t got time to enjoy his cookies. That’s all he gets,” Sanders said Tuesday as the 18th-ranked Buffaloes (2-0) prepare to host rival Colorado State (0-1) this weekend. “I’ve got to keep it going. I’ve got to keep this machine going, and make sure we stay on the right path and make sure we’re locked in and we’re focused on the right things.“It’s a lot driving this train. It’s not easy.”Sanders has not only boosted Colorado’s image on the field but off it as well. Merchandise sales have increased roughly 525% from 2021. September is already the second biggest month ever on the school store’s website. The biggest was Decem...

DORTMUND, Germany (AP) — From jeers to cheers inside three days.Germany beat World Cup runner-up France 2-1 in a friendly on Tuesday in a dramatic turnaround from being whistled by the crowd in a 4-1 loss to Japan on Saturday. That defeat cost Hansi Flick his job as coach the following day.The win lifts some of the gloom around the team hosting the European Championship next year.“We really threw ourselves into it and I think people saw that,” goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen told broadcaster ARD. “These have been strange, difficult days and it was all the better that we could turn things around with the win. I think it gives us confidence and that was what we definitely need right now.”Thomas Müller scored early on and Leroy Sané added a second on a late counterattack, ending the run of five winless games which led to Flick being ousted Sunday. The search is on for a new permanent coach ahead of games against the United States and Mexico next month.Against France, Germany was coach...

Coke’s latest mystery flavor is here. It’s created by AI

Published Sat, 22 Feb 2025 16:27:48 GMT

New York (CNN) — For about a year and a half, Coca-Cola has experimented with limited-edition beverages that have mystery tastes — most of them with vague, futuristic concepts and undisclosed flavors. The latest one, Coca-Cola Y3000, fits the bill. The one distinction: It’s supposed to taste like the future. Fittingly, the soft-drink giant used artificial intelligence to help determine the flavor and packaging. It’s important for Coca-Cola to keep customers — particularly younger ones — excited about Coke, its more-than-a-century-old signature product. In recent years, health-conscious consumers have shied away from sugary beverages, making it trickier for soda sellers to market their legacy brands. Coca-Cola has used its Creations platform, responsible for limited-edition flavors like Y3000, to try to make the brand resonate with younger consumers.Like all Creations drinks, Coca-Cola Y3000 is designed to taste mostly like Coke, with a bit of something else.
